Time: 12:00 PM Noon Eastern Time (US and Canada)
We’re excited to welcome John Baker as our guest.
John Baker blends elite professional sport experience with deep expertise in performance psychology. A former Major League catcher with seven seasons with the Marlins, Padres, and Cubs, he understands firsthand the demands placed on high-level performers. After retiring, he moved into leadership and coaching, serving as the Chicago Cubs’ Head Applied Mental Performance Coach before becoming Director of Coaching & Player Development and later Vice President of Performance for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
John holds a Master’s degree in Performance Psychology and was directly trained in Mindfulness-Based Attention Training by Dr. Amishi Jha and Scott Rogers. Through his consulting practice, Intentional Performance, he helps individuals and organizations integrate evidence-based mental performance and skill-acquisition strategies, drawing on Self-Determination Theory, ACT, and ecological approaches to motor learning. His guiding philosophy: work with people who perform—not just performers—ensuring whole-person development while driving real performance outcomes.
This will be an open discussion with all founding members, so come ready to participate.
