Joint Dissociation: A Trainable Element

Joint dissociation is a trainable element of joint function - a fundamental element of Point B and has multifaceted transfer of training effects on high performance.

Transfer of Training Effects from Joint Dissociation:

  1. Enhanced joint function.

  2. Enhanced force generation via access to more muscle tissue.

  3. Enhanced force transmission via access to more connective tissue.

  4. Enahced ability to generate intelligent movement solutions via accurate afferent joint space information flow.

Below is a video example of Chuck Vogelpohl training hip joint dissociation post-FR treatment at Westside Barbell.

Training For Joint Dissociation Explained

Joint dissociation, the ability of one bone to move independently and relative to its articulating bone, is an element of joint function - which is an element of Point B. This micro range of motion allows joints to achieve the macro ranges of motion needed for high performance.
